Journey's End is located in a quiet residential area, easily accessible in around one hour’s drive from Faro Airport. Easy parking right outside the house.
The accommodation itself is a short 10-15-minute walk to the beach (but do note this is downhill, making the return journey uphill), with Hugo’s - the nearest bar and restaurant – just 400mts away.
Two very well stocked supermarkets are just a 10-minute stroll.
With everything you need on your doorstep, our stylish townhouse is perfect for your next Algarve holiday.
Things to do:
The Western Algarve is the least developed part of this stunning region in Portugal.
Famous for its wild and rugged coastal scenery and its wonderful pristine beaches, the West Coast also plays host to an array of international surfers. Watch and marvel at their skill and finesse.
Walkers among you will enjoy the Cabo de Sao Vincente National park and the mountains to the north. Pack a picnic and enjoy a day drinking in the mountain air and the local firewater if you so desire.
The nearby historic town of Silves and the mountain area around Monchique are also an enjoyable day out.
As is Cape St Vincent - the most South Westerly point in mainland Europe, which is only 30 minutes away by car.
Bringing children?
The area has many attractions for children including a zoo and a water theme park. You can even swim with Dolphins – an experience not just for the kiddies among you!
The various Safaris - water and land born – based from nearby Lagos are also enormous fun.

Excursions:
An abundance of excursions will take you to most parts of the Algarve in Southern Portugal. A shuttle bus is avaiable for most if not all.
It’s hard to narrow down and make specific recommendations, as there really is something for everyone, but our two favourite activities suitable for adults and children alike, are:
- Jeep Safari into the Mountains: This is an interesting day for all the family and includes plenty of history about the region.
- Dolphin Seafari: A must-do boat trip to see these magnificent creatures.
Autódromo Internacional do Algarve (AIA) Race Track
Opened in November 2008, the 100,000 capacity International Circuit - Autódromo do Algarve - is fully approved by the FIA for Formula 1 GP's and the FIM for Superbikes.
The circuit is a short 20-minute drive from Journey’s End and is a great day out.
Golf
Golfers are well catered for in the Algarve.
With 6 courses all within a 30-minute drive of Praia da Luz, golfers can easily get their fix.
Boa Vista being the nearest at just a 5-minute drive, and Espiche being the newest club in the region.

Visiting in low season?
This area is perfect for those wanting to visit the Algarve outside of high season.
Winter weather is generally mild and usually sunny with daytime temperatures around 15-20C. However, it does get a bit chillier at night.
Which is why Journey’s End is the perfect accommodation for your winter holiday - we have a lovely log burner to warm you up on those cooler nights!
Most restaurants remain open all year - the pleasing climate and local activities mean there are always visitors around.
Whatever your preference, you’ll find it when you stay at Journey’s End in Praia da Luz.
